Pochi giorni dopo l'uscita delle tanto attese Disposizioni di Vigilanza, l'ABI ha organizzato il Convegno "Covered Bond: la nuova normativa sulle obbligazioni bancarie garantite", una importante giornata dedicata alla normativa sui nuovi strumenti finanziari che finalmente possono essere emessi anche dalle banche italiane, con impatti estremamente rilevanti per il sistema bancario e per i clienti.
Infatti, dopo la firma del Decreto del CICR, il mercato italiano dei Covered Bond ha avuto finalmente il via libera. C'era quindi grande attesa, tra gli operatori bancari per la versione finale delle istruzioni di vigilanza sulle obbligazioni bancarie garantite.
Proprio questa versione finale è stata illustrata e dibattuta, per la prima volta, durante il Convegno del 7 giugno, dai principali soggetti promotori: ABI, Ministero dell'Economia e Banca d'Italia. A questi si sono affiancati alcuni tra i principali player finanziari internazionali, collocatori, società di rating e studi legali, che si sono confrontati sui nuovi scenari e sugli impatti per il mercato italiano.
Una tavola rotonda nel pomeriggio ha permesso poi agli stessi interlocutori di entrare con maggior approfondimento sugli aspetti tecnici della nuova normativa e di dibatterne più liberamente potenzialità e criticità. Questa sessione ha dato l'occasione per una alto livello di interattività, con la possibilità di fare domande direttamente dalla platea alla Banca d'Italia, al Ministero, all'ABI, e a tutti gli altri relatori, sui contenuti della mattinata.
COVERED BOND: THE NEW REGULATION

Few days later the release of new Bank of Italy's rules, the Italian Banking Association organizes the Convention "Covered Bonds: the new regulation", an important date devoted to the regulations on the new financial tools that also Italian banks will finally be able to issue, with an extremely relevant impact on the banking system and on customers.
Infact, after the Instructions from Bank of Italy become official, the Italian market for Covered Bonds will finally be liberalised. There is great anticipation, among banking and non-banking operators, with regard to the final version of the regulation on bank covered bonds.
During the Convention of June, and for the first time ever, this final version will be the subject of a presentation and debate by the main promoting parties: ABI, Italian Ministry of the Economy and Bank of Italy. Some of the main international financial players, placement agents and rating companies will also participate, exchanging views on the new scenarios and the impact on the Italian market.
A round table in the afternoon will allow participants to go into greater detail on the technical aspects of the new regulation and to freely debate its potential and its criticalities.
The Convention will take place in Rome, in the ABI headquarters located in Palazzo Altieri, on the 7th of June, with the participation of the entire community of placement agents, CEOs and Heads of the Finance Departments of the Italian banking system.
