Da quando Basilea 2 è stata annunciata, fino alle più recenti novità regolamentari, il tema è diventato uno dei più pervasivi in assoluto per il sistema bancario ed il Convegno ABI ha rappresentato e continua a rappresentare uno degli appuntamenti più importanti dell'anno, tanto da raggiungere i 1.000 delegati nell'edizione 2008. Oggi più che mai, alla luce della recente crisi finanziaria mondiale, il dibattito intorno a Basilea 2 è molto vivace ed urgente è la necessità di orientamento e di supporto.
L'obiettivo fondamentale del Convegno è stato proprio questo, aggiornare, favorire il networking, supportare le scelte, le strategie e il lavoro quotidiano di tutti i professionisti di banche e imprese che si trovino, nei vari settori, a dover applicare le nuove regole.
Il Convegno si è svolto nell'arco di 2 giornate, con sessioni plenarie e sessioni parallele di approfondimento sui 3 Pilastri di Basilea 2 e sul rapporto banca-impresa. Sono intervenuti i regulators italiani ed europei, i massimi esperti di banca, gli accademici, i player leader di mercato.

Since Basel 2 was announced, up to the most recent developments in the regulatory framework, it has become one of the most omnipresent issues for the banking system. The ABI conference has represented and continues to represent one of the most important events of the year; and this is also proven by the fact that 1000 representatives attended the 2008 Conference. Now more than ever, in light of the global economic crisis, the debate surrounding Basel 2 is animated and there is an urgent need for guidelines and support.
This is the Conference's main goal: to update and favour networking, to support the decisions made by professionals from banks and companies, in the various sectors, who must apply the new rules, as well as their strategies and daily work.
The Conference will be held over 2 days, with plenary and in-depth parallel sessions on the 3 pillars of Basel 2 and on the bank/company relationship. Speakers will include Italian and European regulators, leading banking experts, academics and scholars as well as leading market
